Teo Yang is the founder of Teo Yang Studio, a Seoul-based practice established in 2012. The studio works across residential, hospitality, commercial and cultural interiors, with a sustained interest in Korean heritage and contemporary living.

Yang 并不把传统当作固定视觉风格，而是研究历史空间观念、工艺过程和材料，再经过取舍，使其与今天的生活需求发生对话。

Yang does not approach tradition as a fixed visual style. Historical spatial ideas, craft processes and materials are studied, edited and placed in dialogue with present-day needs.

由材料与细节形成氛围

他的室内构图通常安静，让质感、光线与经过选择的物件承担氛围。传统线索可以清晰存在，却不会把房间变成对过去的复原。

His interiors are often quiet in composition, allowing texture, light and carefully selected objects to carry atmosphere. Traditional references can be present without turning a room into a reconstruction of the past.

这种平衡使事务所成为当代韩国设计讨论中的重要力量。作品强调的不是怀旧，而是连续性：文化记忆通过重新适应、使用和体验而保持活力。

This balance has made the practice influential in conversations about contemporary Korean design. Its work proposes continuity rather than nostalgia: cultural memory remains active because it is adapted, used and experienced anew.
