Building Complete Design Worlds

Colin Seah is the founder and director of design at Ministry of Design, the Singapore studio established in 2004. Architecturally trained in the United States and licensed in Singapore, he previously worked with Rem Koolhaas and Daniel Libeskind.

MOD operates across architecture, interior design, product, signage, graphics and brand strategy. This breadth supports Seah’s aim to build complete worlds in which spatial experience and identity are developed together.

Question, Disturb, Redefine

The studio’s work often begins by questioning conventions attached to a building type or brand. Strong concepts are then carried through planning, surfaces, lighting and visual communication rather than applied as decoration at the end.

Across hotels, workplaces, retail and cultural projects, Seah combines narrative clarity with operational demands. The result is designed to be memorable, but also to function as a coherent environment over time.
