NEWS · PARIS · SEPTEMBER 2026
Maison&Objet Paris returns to Paris Nord Villepinte from 10 to 14 September 2026, alongside Paris Design Week through 19 September. 01DES highlights the furniture, materials, emerging brands, lighting ideas and procurement questions most relevant to interior-design practice.

Design in motion
The theme “Pulse in Motion” was conceived by Maison&Objet with trend agency NellyRodi. Across four halls, the fair is organised into seven sectors: Cook & Share, Decor & Design, Fine Craft, Wellness & Beauty, Fragrance & Ambiance, Fashion & Accessories and Gift & Play. For interior designers, Decor & Design, Fine Craft and the bespoke and hospitality sourcing routes provide focused access to furniture, textiles, rugs, finishes, lighting and delivery capability.

Colour, material and movement
Masquespacio has been appointed ambassador of Maison&Objet Pulse and Paris Design Week. Founded by Ana Milena Hernández Palacios and Christophe Penasse, the studio will present two installations across the fair and the city and has designed the September edition’s key visual.

From products to spatial narratives
Decor & Design brings together furniture, accessories, textiles, rugs and pattern. Rather than seeking a single statement piece, designers can assess how scale and tactility build hierarchy. At the entrance to Fine Craft, “In Materia”, curated by Elizabeth Leriche, foregrounds material richness through unique pieces and limited editions. Materials must also be assessed through connections, finishes, cleaning, durability, repair and production capacity.
Three emerging approaches to light
Under the artistic direction of Hall Haus, Design District will present emerging studios and brands. The 2026 Future On Stage winners are Baguette Studio, Risette and LightMass. Baguette Studio works with vegetable wax and beeswax; Risette explores cardboard, paper, colour and interaction; and LightMass, initiated by RAW-Edges Studio, uses LED beams and lightweight mesh. Procurement still requires checks on output, colour temperature, colour rendering, glare, dimming, certification, installation, spare parts and lead times.
A sourcing checklist for designers
Maison&Objet offers Tailor-Made, Contract and Sustainable sourcing routes. Visiting with real project criteria is more useful than simply collecting product launches.
- Application — typology, frequency of use and occupancy.
- Scale and circulation — dimensions, ergonomics, clear widths and combinations.
- Materials and performance — finishes, wear, staining, cleaning and certification.
- Lighting — output, colour temperature, colour rendering, glare, dimming and installation.
- Customisation — dimensions, colours, materials, hardware and electrical configuration.
- Delivery and aftercare — minimum orders, lead times, transport, installation, spares, warranty and repair.
